Mobility Printing - User Guide

​​​Print from Mobile Devices to the Chambers Library or NUC Tech Express.

Max Chambers Library and the Tech Express are available for mobile printing.  Your print job can be released from any public printer in the Library or in the Tech Express. All students begin with a free $5.00 credit in their PaperCut accounts each semester (free credit does not roll-over to next semester).

How do I setup and use Mobile Printing? 

Setup and use mobile printing on a Windows device:

  1. Join the UCO_SECURE WiFi network.  
  2. To setup your device, go to print.uco.edu and click the menu item to "MobilityPrint Setup"
  3. The webpage will detect what OS your device is using and give the correct install instructions for mobile printing.   
  4. During the setup you will be asked to select a printer.  Select LIB-COLOR (Library Public Printers  - Color), LIB-BW (Library Public Printers - Black & White), & TEK224-HPE77830 (Central Tech Express).
  5. Login with your UCO network account. This is the same account that you use to access email, UCONNECT, D2L, etc.
  6. Click finish and you are ready to print.  
You can now go to the type of printer you selected to retrieve your print job. To do that:
  1. Sign in with your UCO Username and Password or swipe Banner ID card.
  2. Tap the "Print Release" icon and choose the print job(s) you want to print.
  3. Be sure to sign out of the printer once your job has completed.

Device Requirements:

Mobility Print supports all current Microsoft Windows operating systems.

       

 

Setup and use mobile printing on a MAC OS device: 

  1. Join the UCO_SECURE WiFi network.  
  2. Navigate to System Preferences > Printers and Scanners.
  3. Click the  icon or the "+" sign under the Printers List.  The Add dialog is displayed. It displays a list of all of the discovered printers on the network.
  4. Select the printer LIB-COLOR (Library Public Printers  - Color), LIB-BW (Library Public Printers - Black & White), or TEK224-HPE77830 (Central Tech Express).
  5. At the bottom of the dialog box, check that Use is set to Secure AirPrint.
  6. Click add.
  7. Print your document. When prompted, enter your UCO network username and password.
You can now go to the type of printer you selected to retrieve your print job. To do that:
  1. Sign in with your UCO Username and Password or swipe your Banner ID card.
  2. Tap the "Print Release" icon and choose the print job(s) you want to print.
  3. Be sure to sign out of the printer once your job has completed.

Device Requirements:

Mobility Print supports macOS Yosemite and higher.

       

 

Setup and use mobile printing on an iOS device:

  1. Make sure your iPhone or iPad is connected to UCO_SECURE wireless.
  2. Mobility Print works just like AirPrint—print your content as you normally would!​​​​​  Pick your printer LIB-COLOR (Library Public Printers  - Color), LIB-BW (Library Public Printers - Black & White), or TEK224-HPE77830 (Central Tech Express).
  3. Enter your UCO network account and click print.  You can also find detailed instructions on how to use air print on Apples webpage Using Air Print.  
You can now go to the type of printer you selected to retrieve your print job. To do that:
  1. Sign in with your UCO Username and Password or swipe Banner ID card.
  2. Tap the "Print Release" icon and choose the print job(s) you want to print.
  3. Be sure to sign out of the printer once your job has completed.

Device Requirements:

Mobility Print supports iOS 11.0 and higher.

       

Setup and use mobile printing on an Android device:

  1. Make sure your Android is connected to UCO_SECURE.
  2. Install the Android Mobile App from the Google play store.
  3. Launch the app.
  4. Tap Android settings.
  5. Tap Mobility Print.
  6. Tap the enable toggle.
  7. Exit out of Settings.
  8. Print your document. When prompted, enter your UCO network account username and password.
You can now go to the type of printer you selected to retrieve your print job. To do that:
  1. Sign in with your UCO Username and Password or swipe Banner ID card.
  2. Tap the "Print Release" icon and choose the print job(s) you want to print.
  3. Be sure to sign out of the printer once your job has completed.

The way you print is different depending on the app you want to print from. For more information, see the documentation for the app. When you select a printer, make sure you select a Mobility Print LIB-COLOR (Library Public Printers  - Color), LIB-BW (Library Public Printers - Black & White), or TEK224-HPE77830 (Central Tech Express). as identified by the PaperCut icon 

Device Requirements:

Mobility Print supports Android 4.4 and higher. Supported devices includes Android phones and tablets from Google.

     

Setup and use mobile printing on a Chrome device:         

  1. Make sure your device is connected to UCO_SECURE.
  2. Install Chrome App from Chrome web store. 
  3. If you want to print from Android applications such as Microsoft Word:
    1. Enable Google Play store as a user or as an 
    2. Install the Mobility print Android App from the Google Play Store.
    3. Click Open.
    4. Click Android settings.
    5. Click Mobility Print.
    6. Click the enable toggle.
  4. Open the page to print. The way you print is different depending on the app you want to print from. For more information, see the documentation for the app. When you select a printer, make sure you select a Mobility Print LIB-COLOR (Library Public Printers  - Color), LIB-BW (Library Public Printers - Black & White), or TEK224-HPE77830 (Central Tech Express). as identified by the PaperCut icon 
  5. Print your document.

System Requirements:

Mobility Print supports Chrome OS with Chrome version 69 and higher for Chrome apps and version 53 and higher for Android apps.
