Getting Started with Qwickly Attendance

Qwickly Attendance is the officially supported Attendance tracking tool integrated directly into D2L courses and this article provides the basic steps to accessing and setting up the tool for first time us along with additional resources.

Introduction

Qwickly Attendance is the officially supported Attendance tracking tool integrated directly into D2L courses. Instructors have the ability to manage course sessions, mark attendance, and track participation across each of their courses. Because of this deep integration, course rosters are automatically included in the Qwickly attendance tool and attendance can be automatically added/updated in the course gradebook.  Qwickly is automatically available in all D2L course shells and this article provides the basic steps to accessing and setting up the tool for first time use. Getting Started with Qwickly Attendance

Qwickly Attendance is automatically available for all D2L course shells and has options for both in person and virtual attendance, as well as online course participation. Follow these steps to access and begin using the tool. 

1. Open your D2L course shell and select the Qwickly Attendance tool in the course nav bar. 
   (Depending on your screen size, you may need to select More > Qwickly Attendance) 
   
2. Qwickly will always open in a new tab in the browser to allow you to access both the Qwickly tool and your D2L course resources simultaneously. Open the Qwickly tab and, if prompted, select Accept. 
   
3. The first time you open Qwickly in each course, the setup window will appear. Click Begin Setup to select your settings for how Qwickly operates within this course shell. 
   
4. Select your settings and click Save Settings before moving to the next settings tab or before you access the attendance, course report, or records tools.
