  1. Arrive a few minutes early to give yourself plenty of time to setup the classroom or address unexpected issues.
  2. Log in to your UCO account on the classroom computer if utilizing it. If utilizing your personal laptop, log in to your personal user on the device and plug it in to the room's HDMI cable, which should be located somewhere on or near the instructor station.
  3. Do NOT unplug any cables or other classroom technology and avoid moving the technology from their intended location.
  4. As you are waiting for your user to load, power on any technology you may need for class. Most rooms have a button panel or touch panel to control the technology. Some rooms will not project images until you are signed into your user, even if the projector powers on. The control panels should have an option for "PC 1" and "PC 2", "Proj. On", or "Display On" to power on the projector and TV. Some rooms may have a separate "On" button for TV power.
  5. Test out any videos, camera functionality, or other media playback that you may need for class. Make sure to select the correct input button on the control panel for whichever type of input device you are using. Input buttons "HDMI" or "Laptop" will be used only when plugging in a personal laptop for projection. "PC 1 or 2", "Display On", or "Proj. On" will be used in most every other instance. Some rooms also have manual buttons located on the wall for lowering the projector screen.
  6. At this point, if something is not working as expected, please give our classroom support line a call at 405-974-2707. A classroom tech will be dispatched to your room within 5 to 10 minutes to look into the issue. If you have any walk-through questions or recurring issues in your room, please reach out to your building tech or submit a service request through the UCO Service Desk. For individual technician contact information, please refer to the linked article in the reference section.

  1. Turn off the projector and/or TV by pressing the "Proj. Off" or "Display Off" button. The projectors should all make a beeping noise to indicate they received the "turn off" signal and then will power off. Projectors take some time to warm up before they are ready to power off again. Please contact x2707 if a projector will not power off.
  2. Sign out of your account by clicking the Windows logo in the task bar. Once a pop-up window shows with your name at the bottom, click your name, then click "Sign Out."
  3. Do NOT power off the computer or its monitors, as this will interrupt critical updates that take place overnight.
  4. Turn off any manual classroom lights and close the door behind you. All classroom doors should lock automatically when shut. Please inform the Dean's office if a classroom door or lock is not functioning as expected.
