Description
The University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) Office of Information Technology is offering apartment-specific network connectivity options to students residing in the University Commons Apartments. This article will explain how you can connect your devices to your apartment-specific WiFi network.
NOTE: The following network connectivity options are only available in the University Commons Apartments. These network connectivity options are not available to other on-campus housing options at this time. If you are located within other university campus buildings, i.e. Nigh University Center, Center for Transformative Learning (CTL), etc., these network options will not be available. Please use the UCO or UCO_Secure network options in other university campus buildings.
Instructions
- In your devices' WiFi or network connectivity settings, select the network that matches your specific University Commons Apartment number. Available networks for the University Commons Apartments will have a naming convention of UC-XXXX.
- For example, if you live in the University Commons Apartment #1215, you'll want to connect your devices to the network named UC-1215.

- When you connect your device to the network of your apartment number, you will not need to provide a password.
- If you are prompted to select a Security type for the network, please select the available option for WPA2 or WPA3 enterprise network.
- If you do not see your apartment number listed as an available network, you can manually connect your devices by selecting options for "Other..." and then entering in the network name as UC-XXXX where XXXX is your specific apartment number.
- When manually connecting, if you are prompted to select a Security type for the network, please select the available option for WPA2 or WPA3 enterprise network.
- If you are prompted for a password, leave the password field blank and proceed to select the option to connect.
