Service Overview
QR Codes and shortlinks (go.uco.edu/example) allow for long web links to be "shortened" and made presentable for use in websites, print materials, marketing and social media.
Helpful information about the QR Code/Shortlink service:
- All requests will provide both a QR code and a Shortlink which requires all fields on the form to be completed.
- QR Codes are provided in SVG image format by default. PNG and PDF are available upon request.
- QR Codes and Shortlinks will only direct to a single URL.
Your Campus Communicators can provide you with QR Codes and Shortlinks.

Features
The QR code and Shortlink request process handles the following:
- Ensure alignment with the university marketing strategy.
- Collect necessary information from the requestor in one contact form.
- Ensure that technical contacts are maintained through the Office of Information Technology (OIT) to facilitate accurate maintenance and the management of QR codes and Shortlinks in the service.
Please note: A Shortlink such as "go.uco.edu/example" is considered a marketing tool as well, and may require UCO Brand Review.
There is no cost associated with QR Codes and Shortlinks; however, requests will still be evaluated according to availability and alignment with the university marketing strategy.
