Body
In-State/Out-of-State status for tuition purposes is determined according to Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education (OSRHE) policy. Use the resources below to help determine whether you will qualify for in-state status. Please view the complete policy 3.18 for complete details on In-State/Out-of-State Status.
Initial Classification
The Office of Admissions determines resident status based on the information provided on the student’s application for admission and supporting documentation submitted at the time of admission. A student’s resident status, determined at the time of admission, will remain in effect unless a petition is submitted and reclassification is granted.
Petition for Reclassification
Students can petition for reclassification of their residence status by completing the Residency Petition and submitting required supporting documentation. Failure to include all supporting documentation will delay the processing and may result in an automatic denial.
*Students can only petition for reclassification for current and future terms. Past terms are not eligible for classification.
