My 1098-T form is incorrect. How do I get it corrected?

Summary

Instructions to determine if your 1098-T is correct, and if not, what to do.

Body

To determine if it is correct, review these items first:

  1. The 1098-T form reports what payments are made toward eligible billed for tuition and related expenses in a calendar year.
  2. Spring classes that begin in January - March that were registered for and billed in November and December of the prior tax year will often appear on the prior year 1098-T form.
  3. If your scholarships and grants are greater than your billed tuition and related expenses, you are not eligible for a 1098-T.

If you believe your form is incorrect or that you should be receiving one when you have not, please email bursar@uco.edu so that we can review the account for you.
