Payment Plans at UCO
Yes, UCO offers payment plans for students to help manage tuition payments. Here are the details:
Enrollment Periods
- Fall Payment Plan: Enrollment begins in early August.
- Spring Payment Plan: Enrollment begins in December.
- Summer Payment Plan: Enrollment begins in early May.
Tuition is due at the beginning of each semester. Any student who has not paid in full is required to enroll in a payment plan[^i^].
Fees and Deadlines
- Enrollment Fee: There is a non-refundable payment plan enrollment fee of $40, which will be included in your payment plan balance[^i^].
- Late Setup Fee: If you miss the predetermined deadline and are administratively enrolled in a payment plan, you will be assessed a $40 late setup fee in addition to the $40 setup fee[^i^].
- Balance Holds: Enrolling in a payment plan does not remove balance holds from your student account. Holds are only removed when the account balance is below the threshold for the associated hold[^i^].
Payment Methods
- Automatic ACH: Checking or savings accounts.
- Credit/Debit Cards: VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express (online only). Note: There is a 2.85% service fee (minimum of $3.00) for all online credit/debit card payments[^i^].
- Cash: In person at the Bursar's Office.
- Checks: In person or via mail. Make checks payable to the University of Central Oklahoma[^i^].
- Debit Card with PIN: In person at the Bursar's Office (no additional service fees).
- Money Orders[^i^].
Plans & Installment Due Dates
Fall and Spring Semesters
- 5 Month Plan: Five payments due on the 5th of each month.
- Fall: 8/5, 9/5, 10/5, 11/5, 12/5
- Spring: 1/5, 2/5, 3/5, 4/5, 5/5
- 4 Month Plan: Four payments due on the 5th of each month.
- Fall: 9/5, 10/5, 11/5, 12/5
- Spring: 2/5, 3/5, 4/5, 5/5
- 5th Plan: Three payments due on the 5th of each month.
- Fall: 9/5, 10/5, 11/5
- Spring: 2/5, 3/5, 4/5
- 15th Plan: Three payments due on the 15th of each month.
- Fall: 9/15, 10/15, 11/15
- Spring: 2/15, 3/15, 4/15
- Last Plan: Three payments due on the last day of each month.
- Fall: 9/30, 10/31, 11/30
- Spring: 2/28 (or 29), 3/31, 4/30
Summer Semester
- Summer Plan: Two equal payments due on 6/30 and 7/31[^i^].
Setting Up a Payment Plan
- Log into UCONNECT.
- Navigate to the Paying for School card and select "Make a Bursar Payment".
- Select Payment Plan Options for signup[^i^].
The payment plan enrollment fee of $40 will be added to your payment plan balance. Payment plans are effective immediately, and you will receive an email confirmation[^i^].
