Introduction
This article covers installing the Onbase Unity Client via UCO's Company Portal. This allows any Faculty or Staff member to install the Unity client with just a few clicks.
The Onbase Unity Client is the primary client for accessing UCO's Enterprise Content Management System: Onbase. It is specifically designed to emulate the look‑and‑feel of Microsoft Office products, including a ribbon style user interface. The Unity Client also enables individual users to personalize their interface in order to quickly access the forms and functions they use most often.
*Note: The Unity Client is a Windows only Application. There is no macOS version available. If you have access to Onbase, there is a web based client that you can access here: https://forms.uco.edu/AppNet/Login.aspx . A Shortcut to the web client is automatically placed on the desktop of any Windows Staff member with Onbase Access.
Instructions
- Search for the Company Portal in the Windows Search bar, and open it.
- Select the Hyland Unity Client Application:
- Select Install from the upper right corner.
- The Portal will download the application, and then begin installing.
- After the Installation, the Portal will show an "Installation Complete" message. Then it will show an Uninstall option.
- Once Installed, you can access the Unity Client Via the start menu, or the icon on your desktop with the logo shown below, labeled "Unity Client"
- The Installation process is complete. If you encounter any errors with the installation, please contact the service desk using the Information in references below.
