Email Blast Service

Service Overview

The offices of University Communications and Information Technology partner to offer email blast – or mass email – services to campus clients for university-related information, events, programs and initiatives, using the university’s authorized mass email platform, Emma. An email blast can be sent to current UCO faculty, staff and students. An email blast may be sent to select external email addresses if the recipients have opted in to receive messages from the university.

All requests must follow the UCO Email Blast Policy.

Note that requests should be made at least five (5) days before the desired distribution date. All email blasts are subject to review, editing and rescheduling. Email blasts are scheduled before 8 a.m. and after 5 p.m.

Key Details

To initiate an email blast, please follow the process outlined by your division or college representative using the contact links below. Email blasts must have the approval of the area Vice President or their designee(s). Use this form to request email blasts if you do not have an area representative.

Email blasts are scheduled before 8 a.m. and after 5 p.m. Email blasts submitted to University Communications for development, not created through their Campus Communicator noted above, will not be considered "submitted" until the communication has been finalized and the approving VP has signed off. The advance submission notice of five (5) days before the desired distribution date and time will start at that point.
