Concurrent enrollment is designed to prepare high school students for the collegiate experience. Upon admission, students must maintain a cumulative 2.0 GPA in concurrent courses to remain eligible in the concurrent enrollment program per Oklahoma State Regents policy. For more information about concurrent enrollment, you can visit our website.
Admissions Requirements
To be admitted, students must meet one of the following requirements:
- ACT/Pre-ACT: 20*
- SAT/PSAT: 1030*
- GPA: 3.0 (unweighted) and Class Rank top 50%
Homeschooled students and students from unaccredited high schools shall have completed enough high school coursework to be equivalent to an individual who is classified as a junior or senior at an accredited high school.
In addition, homeschooled or unaccredited high school students cannot be admitted by high school GPA; they must meet the ACT/SAT requirements.
While students may meet the admission standards, they will not be eligible to take courses in subject areas where their ACT sub-score is below a 19.

Tuition Waiver
Eligible Oklahoma high school seniors will receive a tuition waiver for up to 18 credit hours, and eligible Oklahoma high school juniors are eligible for a tuition waiver up to 9 credit hours. Non-residents are not eligible for this waiver. A high school senior is defined as a student who has completed their junior year, but has not yet graduated from high school. There are no family income levels to qualify for this waiver. The waiver does not cover fees or the cost of books. Concurrent Enrollment students are not eligible for financial aid.
Tuition waivers are applied to the UCO student account during the first week of class.
Applying to UCO After Being a Concurrent Student
A previous concurrent student who wishes to enroll as a student after high school graduation must complete the new student admissions application as a first-time entering freshman and pay the $40 non-refundable application fee. Concurrent work is considered pre-college work and students should apply as a freshman, NOT as a transfer student.
