Next Steps for Accepted Students 

After being accepted, students will receive an email outlining their next steps. Visit the After Admission page for additional information.

Apply for Financial Assistance 

  • FAFSA: The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is essential for need-based financial aid. UCO recommends all students complete the FAFSA.
  • Application Dates:  
    • Fall Semester: Opens October 1st, priority deadline June 30. 
    • Spring Semester: Priority deadline October 1. 
    • Summer Semester: Priority deadline April 1. 
  • Scholarships: Submit FAFSA by February 1st for institutional scholarships. Foundation scholarships open in January. Eligibility criteria vary by scholarship (e.g., credit hours, GPA). 

Schedule an Academic Advisement Appointment 

  • All new students and those who have not attended UCO for at least two consecutive 16-week semesters must meet with an academic advisor before enrollment. Please visit the Academic Advisement page on our website and choose your college under "Book an appointment with your advisor".

Activate Your UCONNECT Account 

  • UCONNECT is UCO's secure student portal. Activate your account using login information received via email upon admission.  

Freshman Students 

  1. Apply for On-Campus Living
  2. Sign Up for New Broncho Orientation
    • New Broncho Orientation: A one-day event for incoming freshmen to meet peers, learn campus resources, meet advisors, and enroll in courses. Registration opens in late March. Attendance is required before enrollment. For assistance, contact 405-974-3456 or email orientation@uco.edu. 

Transfer Students, Concurrent Students, and Readmit With or Without Transfer Credits 

  1.  Complete New Broncho Orientation

    • Transfer students complete New Broncho Orientation online. Register and complete it upon admission. 
  2. Enroll in Classes 
    • Log into UCONNECT and access the Enroll in Classes card. Submit a Concurrent Enrollment Program Recommendation Form for each term. Students taking UCO courses on their high school campus will be manually enrolled by university personnel. 

 Post-Baccalaureate Students and Visiting/Special Students

  1.  Enroll in Classes

    • Contact articulation@uco.edu for courses requiring prerequisites. Provide unofficial transcripts to demonstrate prerequisite fulfillment. Log into UCONNECT and access the Enroll in Classes card. 

Reserve Your Parking Decal 

  • All vehicles on campus must have a parking permit. Purchase permits from https://ucoparking.t2hosted.com/Account/Portal. The cost is $195 for the academic year (July 1 to June 30).
