Enrollment status for the fall, spring, and summer semesters is determined by registered total semester credit hours:
- Full time: 12 or more credit hours
- Full time is 6 undergraduate credit hours or 5 graduate credit hours in the summer session.
- 3/4 time: 9-11 credits per semester
- 1/2 time: 6-8 credits per semester
- Less than 1/2 time: 1-5 credits per semester
Different financial aid types have different enrollment requirements. You should contact your award sponsor to confirm award requirements.
Undergraduate students are considered full-time when they are actively enrolled in 12 or more credit hours and half-time when they are actively enrolled in 6 or more credit hours.
For Graduate students, 9 hours is considered full-time and 5 hours is part-time.
