Graduate students, regardless of admission status, must maintain a minimum overall graduate grade point average (please refer to graduate catalog under Academic Regulations=> Academic Probation and Suspension) to remain in “good academic standing” with the University and the Jackson College of Graduate Studies.
A student will be placed on academic probation if:
- The student has completed nine graduate hours; and
- The student’s cumulative graduate grade point average (GPA) falls below the minimum standard average (please refer to graduate catalog under Academic Regulations=> Academic Probation and Suspension).
While a student is on academic probation, the student may not enroll in more than ten (10) graduate credit hours in regular semesters and six (6) graduate credit hours in the summer semester.
