When retrieving photos off of an iPhone, they will natively be in .HEIC format instead of a format that is easily opened on a Windows device such as .JPG, .PNG, etc. To convert these files, an online tool can be used, such as Canva. In order to convert these .HEIC files:
- Navigate to https://www.canva.com/features/heic-to-jpg-converter/
- Drag and drop the pictures needing conversion to the browser window
- You will be able to edit the pictures on the next screen. Click Download at the top right, and choose your desired format. (.JPG or .PNG is recommended).
Repeat as necessary. If it requests to save the design, you can just close that pop up with the 'X' at the top right.
