What is this service?
UCO Technology Project Request Service includes the following professional features:
- Requirements gathering by the Project Management Office (PMO) Business Analysts.
- Future state technology solution options identification.
- Business case creation for the selected technology option.
- Vendor selection and procurement guidance.
- Transition to an Enterprise Project with professional project management services upon final approval of the request.
How to request the service:
- Click the “Open a Ticket’ button located on this service page.
- Complete the following information located under the "Requester" heading.
- Requester - Contact this person for coordination and additional information
- Department - The requester department or business unit.
- Call back Number - By default, we dial your office extension. If you prefer a different number, kindly enter it here.
- Location - If knowing the location is important to resolving the ticket, please add it.
- Contact - Those listed can view and receive status updates on this ticket
- Fill in the following required fields located under the “Details” heading.
- Ticket Title - A short description to explain the nature of the request.
- Which Solution Offering - select "IT Solution Design (Project Portfolio Management)" from the available options
- Description - Include any relevant details or additional information related to the request.
- Budget amount (Required)
- Org # that will be used to fund the project. (Required)
- Attachments - Attach any relevant File attachments associated with the ticket.
- Click the “Submit” button
Next Steps?
- The OIT Project Management Office (PMO) reviews the request and assigns a resource.
- The PMO resource contacts the requester to setup an initial “Requirements Gathering” meeting.
- The assigned PMO resource works with you to develop a solution design business case.
- The final business case will be reviewed and approved for release by the Director of the PMO as well as the IT Executive Council (ITEC).
- Upon approval the IT Solution Design request ticket is changed to a formal Project Request that is then submitted through the formal project intake process.
