What is this service?

This service helps you enroll in and manage DUO authentication, an additional layer of security for your UCO accounts required to access certain applications and systems.

Why use DUO?

  • Protects against unauthorized access, even if your password is compromised.
  • Defends against phishing, social engineering, and brute-force attacks.
  • Meets UCO's security requirements for accessing sensitive systems and data.

How to request this service:

  • Enrollment: To use your smartphone, click the link in the Duo enrollment email sent to your uco.edu account as part of your onboarding and follow the steps outlined.
  • Alternatives to smartphone use: Purchase a DUO Security Token Fob via the UCO Tech Store.
  • Contact the IT Service Desk: If you need assistance with enrollment or troubleshooting, contact the IT Service Desk for support.

What happens next?

  1. After enrolling, you will receive a push notification or code on your device when you enter your username and password to access certain systems.
  2. Approve the notification or enter the code to complete your login.

  • DUO works with most UCO systems and software.
  • You can enroll multiple devices for convenience.
  • Contact the UCO Service Desk for assistance with lost or stolen devices.
