Login Support

What is this service?

This service assists you with any issues related to your passwords for various IT systems and resources within our organization. Whether you've forgotten your password, need it reset, or want to change it for security reasons, we're here to help you regain access quickly and securely.

Most often when an account is locked it is because a device (like your phone or computer) keeps attempting to use an old password to connect to Wi-Fi. Delete the UCO networks in your devices. Wait 15 minutes. Attempt to login again.

What types of problems are covered?

  • Forgotten passwords for any authorized IT system (e.g., email, network drive, VPN, software applications)
  • Password resets due to suspected compromise or security concerns
  • Difficulty unlocking accounts after exceeding login attempts
  • Password complexity issues or character restrictions
  • Trouble verifying secondary authentication methods (e.g., SMS code, security questions)

What is not covered?

  • Password requests for unauthorized systems or personal accounts
  • Assistance with remembering personal passwords like social media or banking accounts
  • Issues related to lost or expired recovery codes or security questions
  • Requests to bypass password security measures

What happens next?

  1. Depending on the chosen method, you'll receive instructions for resetting your password through email, SMS, or a secure portal.
  2. Follow the instructions carefully, verify your identity, and create a strong, unique password that meets our security requirements.
  3. Once successful, you should regain access to the system with your new password.
  4. If you encounter any difficulties during the process, don't hesitate to contact the IT Service Desk for further assistance.

Additional notes:

  • Choose strong, unique passwords for all your accounts and avoid using the same password for multiple systems.
  • Enable multifactor authentication wherever available for an extra layer of security.
  • Report any suspected phishing attempts or password leaks to the IT Service Desk immediately.
