Service Overview
Any marketing or communications piece that represents the university externally or internally from a university office, college, program, etc., must be reviewed and approved by University Communications before printing/distribution, as is any piece using the UCO logo or university name. This includes flyers, digital signage, posters, videos, swag items, clothing, etc. When in doubt, send it for review.
Key Details
This review is to ensure brand integration and consistency. It is not an attempt to control all content, though content recommendations may be offered for accuracy, style, grammar or audience appropriateness. Each piece is subject to changes to ensure brand standards are met and the university is represented with integrity. Items that are not reviewed or approved may be required to be reprinted or removed from distribution.
Brand Review approval will be extended one year from the date of the approval. If you want to use an item that was previously approved after a year, resubmit it for review. This includes things like reprints of publications, banners, posters, digital signage, etc. This does not apply to items like permanent signage, though if permanent signage is being removed and replaced, that will require another review.
Items/designs approved through the Brand Review process are approved for the specific usage detailed in the request. The approval does not provide license to use the design in other iterations.
Please allow at least one week prior to printing/publication/distribution deadlines for review.
