Web Review and Approvals

Service Overview

University Communications reviews updated content from UCO website content managers before publication to ensure correct grammar, AP Style and spelling, brand messaging and integrity, as well as accessibility.

Key Details

Publish your page to preview and review/test updates before sending it to University Communications. Before submitting, make sure to note the changes that were made.

What is a preview link and where do I get it:

The preview link is the path to your updated site content on "preview."  You should ALWAYS test your site in preview before it is moved to production. If you don't know how to get your preview link, follow these steps:

  1. Update your page content.
  2. Publish to preview.
  3. Click the 3 dots and “More” menu item in the upper right corner of the WCMS.
  4. Click “Live” to view the live site.
  5. View the live site and replace “www” with the word “preview” in the URL. For example, https://preview.uco.edu is the preview URL for the home page.

Why we need the Preview Links:

Sending preview links with a description of what has been updated allows reviews to go much quicker. If you don't communicate the changes or updates you've made, then UCOMM must find them in the version control, which may increase the time it takes to approve your changes.
