 The UCO File Shares (UCOFS) provide a secure and accessible platform for storing, organizing, and sharing digital files within the UCO community. UCOFS offers a centralized location for collaborative work, document management, and data storage.

What is covered?

  • File storage and organization: Provision of storage space on UCOFS servers for storing files and folders in a structured and organized manner.
  • Access control: Management of access permissions to ensure that users have appropriate access to the files and folders they need while maintaining security and confidentiality.
  • Backup and recovery: Regular backups of UCOFS data to prevent data loss and facilitate recovery in the event of accidental deletion or system failure.
  • Technical support: Assistance with accessing, navigating, and troubleshooting issues related to UCOFS usage, including file access problems and storage allocation inquiries.

What is not covered?

  • File management: While basic guidance on file organization and best practices is provided, extensive file management tasks such as content classification, metadata tagging, and archiving are not included in this service.
  • Data migration: Transferring large volumes of data from other storage systems to UCOFS or vice versa is not covered. However, guidance and support may be provided at your request.
