Students do not have to be fully admitted in order to complete the FAFSA. However, a financial aid offer will not be made until you have been fully admitted into a degree-seeking program or an eligible certificate program.

If you indicated on your FAFSA that you are independent due to being an orphan, ward of the court, emancipated minor, or in a legal guardianship, you may be asked to provide documentation of your status.

I am not able to provide parent information on my FAFSA and/or do not meet the requirements to be independent. Do I qualify for a Dependency Status Review (Dependency Override)?
