Introduction
A Student can provide and control access for another individual to specific portions of their UCO account without sharing their UCO account username and password.
A UCO Student Account Holder can give access to multiple individuals for a variety of account resources including their:
- Academic Transcript
- Account Summary
- Schedules
- Grades
- Financial Information
- and more
For example, a UCO student may provide parent/guardian access to grade and transcript information and/or allow a spouse access to view financial information.
NOTE: Bursar access is managed within Touchnet where students may set up "Authorized Users."
IMPORTANT! Never share your personal account access information (i.e. your password) with another individual!
UCONNECT - Proxy Access
Setting up access to a UCO account for a proxy requires two stages:
- The UCO Student Account Holder creates a Proxy User Account, defines what information to grant the Proxy access to, and assigns the Proxy User to it.
- The Proxy User receives an email invitation, chooses a password, and finishes their account setup.
UCO Student Account Holder
- Log in to your account at uconnect.uco.edu

- Locate the Additional Contact Info card. You may need to click the Discover More to see all cards.
- Click the "Manage Proxy (3rd-Party) access to your account information" link.

- On the Proxy Management screen, select Add New.

- Enter your Proxy User’s contact information with a current email address and select the areas of your account you are providing them access to. Click Submit.

- Your Proxy User's account will show as "inactive" until they complete their portion of the process.

- You can add, remove, or edit proxy access at any time from the Proxy Management screen.

Once the UCO Student has added you as a Proxy User, you will receive two emails from the system to the email address submitted by the Student. These emails will be used to set your password and complete your proxy access.
- Access the email account and locate the email from proxy_access@uco.edu, subject line: New Proxy Identity
- Open the email and click the link to the proxy access login webpage.

- You will need the initial password provided by the system. This will be located in a second email from proxy_access@uco.edu, subject line: New Proxy Confirmation.

- Copy the initial password (no parentheses) and paste it into the Initial Password field to log in to the proxy access system for the first time. Click Submit.

- You will be prompted to provide a new password. Be sure to include the email account provided by the UCO account holder and the initial password from the system. Type your own, unique password in the New Password and Validate Password fields and click Submit.

- Your new password is saved and the Sign In screen opens. Enter your email address and new password, then click Sign In.

- From your proxy access page (https://ssb.uco.edu/StudentSelfService/ssb/proxy/proxyAction), you can select the UCO Student Account Holder's name and the area of their account to view (to which you have been granted permission).

NOTE: A Proxy User can be a proxy for more than one student. You will need to complete the above process for each student.
