UCONNECT - Proxy Access

Tags UCONNECT

Introduction

A student or other UCO account holder can provide and control access for another individual to specific portions of their UCO account without sharing their UCO account username and password. A UCO Account Holder can give access to multiple individuals for a variety of account resources including their Academic Transcript, Account Summary, Student Schedules, Student Grades, Financial Information, and more. For example, a UCO student may provide parent/guardian access to grade information and/or allow a spouse access to view and pay their account.

Please do not share your personal account access information (aka, your password) with another individual!

UCONNECT - Proxy Access

Setting up access to a UCO account for a proxy requires the UCO account holder to assign a proxy and the proxy to set up their account access. The following steps are broken into two sections; the first for the UCO account holder's steps and the second for steps taken by the individual proxy.

UCO Account Holder

  1. Log in to your account at uconnect.uco.edu
  2. Locate the Additional Contact Info widget
  3. Click the "Manage Proxy (3rd-Party) access to your account information" link
  4. On the Proxy Management screen, select Add New
  5. Enter your proxy's contact information with a current email address and select the areas of your account to which you are providing access. Click Submit
  6. Your proxy's account will show as "inactive" until they complete their portion of the process.

  7. You can add, remove, or edit proxy access at any time from the Proxy Management screen.

Proxy Account Setup

Once the UCO Account Holder has added you as a proxy, you will receive two emails from the system to the email address submitted by the account holder. These emails will be used to complete your proxy access.

  1. Access your email account and locate the email from proxy_access@uco.edu, subject line: New Proxy Identity
  2. Open the email and click the link to the proxy access login webpage.
  3. You will also need the initial password provided by the system. This will be located in a second email from proxy_access@uco.edu, subject line: New Proxy Confirmation.
  4. Copy the initial password provided to log in to the proxy access system for the first time.
  5. You will be prompted to provide a new password. Be sure to include the email account provided by the UCO account holder and the initial password from the system. Add your own, unique password and click Submit
  6. You will be prompted to enter your email address and new password, then click Sign In
  7. From your proxy access page (https://ssb.uco.edu/StudentSelfService/ssb/proxy/proxyAction), you can select the UCO account holder's name and specific area of their account to view.
