Submit an Assignment to the Assignments Folder: Learn@UCO

Description

Some course instructors may ask you to submit an assignment in Learn@UCO rather than submitting a paper copy in person. To do this, you will upload a digital file to the Learn@UCO assignment tool for that particular class. Your instructor will typically create one assignment folder for each assignment you will submit. Some folders may have start dates (first day you can submit) or due dates (when the assignment is due) and some may not. It is up to the instructor’s discretion on how assignment folders will be used in your courses. It is recommended that you discuss your instructor’s expectations with them early in the semester.

This article will walk students through the process of submitting an assignment to a Learn@UCO assignment folder within a course.

Instructions

  1. Log in to Learn@UCO through the link in UCONNECT and access your course.
  2. Click Assessments > Assignments.
  3. On this page you will see a list of available dropbox folders and information about each including any due dates that have been set.

Click the title of the correct dropbox. (Not sure which assignment folder? Check your course syllabus or contact your instructor!)
  4. Click Show Folder Information to see the instructions for the assignment. (You can show rubric information if your instructor has attached a rubric to this assignment folder as well).
  5. Click Add a file.
  6. Click My Computer to upload an assignment saved on your desktop, laptop, external drive or flash drive.

Note: If you are on a desktop or laptop computer AND your assignment is saved to a cloud service such as OneDrive or Google Drive, you must first download the assignment to your computer, then follow this process to submit your assignment. To submit an assignment from a cloud service using a smartphone or tablet, follow the instructions on the Submitting Assignments to Assignment Folder Using a Mobile Device knowledge base article.
  7. Click Upload and find the file where it is saved on your computer.
  8. Click Add.
  9. Optional: Add comments to your instructor if needed.
  10. Click Submit.
  11. After submitting, you will see a “File Submission Successful” confirmation screen that documents the date and time you submitted the file. You should also receive a confirmation email sent to your UCO email address.
