To install and configure the VMware Horizon Client for Windows, complete the following steps:
- Open a web-browser, go to the VMware downloads page, and click Install VMware Horizon Client.. in the lower left corner.
- The Download VMware Horizon Clients page opens. Click Go to Downloads in the lower right corner
- The Download VMware Horizon Client for Windows page opens. Click the Download button in the lower right corner.
- When the download has completed, go to the PC's Downloads folder and double-click the file to install the VMware Horizon Client.
- In the pop-up, click the Yes button.
- In the pop-up that follows, click Agree & Install
- The Installation Progress window opens. The VMware Horizon Client may take a couple minutes to install.
- Once "Success!" displays, click Finish.
- A computer restart is required. Save any unsaved work and click
Restart Now.
- Once the computer has restarted, double-click the VMware Horizon Client desktop icon.
- In the widow that pops up, click the Add Server button.
- In the next window, input vdi.uco.edu as the name of the connection server and click the Connect button in the lower right.
- In the next window, Input user name and password, then click the Login button the lower right.
- All virtual desktops to which the user is entitled to will display on the screen. Click the desired virtual desktop to log in it.
- The virtual desktop will display and is ready to use.
