Pin and Unpin Courses in the My Courses Widget: Learn@UCO (D2L)

Description

This article covers the options for pinning and unpinning courses to the Learn@UCO (D2L) My Courses widget and dropdown menu. These options apply to both instructors and students and the screenshots are for the updated Daylight experience. 

"Pinning" courses allows you to quickly and easily find your most accessed courses at the top of your list in the My Courses widget and dropdown menus. 

Instructions - Option 1: Managed Pinned Courses in the My Courses Widget

1. Log in to Learn@UCO (D2L) and locate the My Courses widget on your My Home screen. 
2. Your currently pinned courses will appear at the top of the list. To manage your pinned courses, click View All Courses. 
   
3. Hover over the image for the course you want to pin and click the <elipsis icon> that appears in the top right corner.  
4. Click Pin to add this course to your pinned courses list.
   
5. You can unpin courses by selecting Unpin. 
   
6. Your pinned courses list will immediately update to reflect your changes. 
7. Click the "X" to return to the My Home screen. 
   

Instructions - Option 2: Managed Pinned Courses in the My Courses Dropdown Menu

1. Log in to Learn@UCO (D2L) and locate the My Courses dropdown menu in the Navigation bar. 
2. Your currently pinned courses will appear at the top of the list. To pin a course to the top of this list, click the <pin> icon next to the course title. 
3. If your course does not already appear in the list, search for your course using the search bar. 
4. Click the filled in <pin> icon to unpin a course.
