Authorization for Operational Data Store (ODS)

The Office of Information Technology at the University of Central Oklahoma has an Operational Data Store (ODS) that is an informational database that typically stores detailed data about business events in order to support operational reporting needs.

Banner – General Person Data Standards Manual Purpose & Procedures

Banner is a collection of forms with embedded instructions used to enter, modify, delete, and query data. Banner provides the screens and programs necessary to manipulate data. The access, use, and protection of this data is outlined within these procedures.

Data Classification Guide

All UCO Faculty, staff, students and contractors are responsible for protecting the university data they access or use within the scope of their employment and must comply with the UCO Information Security Policy. The Data Classification Guide applies to all devices used to access university data including university owned and managed computers as well as personal devices (tablets, Smartphones, thumb drives).

Data Integrity

In order to assure data integrity and network security, the Office of Information Technology at the University of Central Oklahoma has taken measures to ensure that information can only be accessed or modified by those authorized to do so. Procedures have been implemented to protect data integrity from environmental hazards as well.

Statement of Responsibility for Non-Employee Banner Users

Members of the UCO community may be given access to the university’s Banner administrative software system, despite not being employees of the university. This access may be given in order to fulfill any contractual obligations to the university. If you have obtained this access, please take the time to look over these guidelines for how Banner should be used.
